CERAMIC

Multiple layers of heavy duty ceramic grain that are designed for super fast stock removal and extremely long disc life. Our ceramic flap discs are not designed to be used for quick intervals; these super tough industrial grade discs must be used for extended periods of time in order for the discs to heat up and reach their full potential. Watch the sparks fly!

CERAMIC FOR ALUMINUM

Special treated ceramic material designed for grinding/sanding such materials as aluminum, where loading is a problerm.

Can also be used on other non-ferrous materials like copper, nickel, titanium and brass.

ZIRCONIA FLAP DISCS

Multiple layers of Zirconia cloth flaps constantly expose new sharp points to the work surface. These flaps are laminated by state-ofthe-art automated equipment to a reinforced fiberglass backing that wears with the flaps and will not damage the workpiece. This enables the operator the use of the entire disc for a greater efficiency.

Each disc is balance tested and will not vibrate, providing a smooth cutting, long lasting sanding tool.

Flap discs eliminate the old 2 step process by grinding and blending/finishing at the same time.

Random Products’ specially designed Poly-Cotton Zirconia High Density Jumbo Flap Discs have 20% more flaps! The Zirconia Cloth Flaps are made with extra tough Polyester/Cotton Cloth Backing that provides faster cutting action and longer disc life than most other brands, especially when using the coarser grits like 36 and 40.

SURFACE CONDITIONING

Non-Woven

Layers of our special reinforced surface conditioning material designed to remove rust, heavy oxidation, blending, finishing and general surface preparation prior to painting or plating – without changing the geometric shape of the workpiece. Excellent finishing tool!

Interleaf

We use alternating zirconia flaps that provide the EXTRA TOUCH while the non-woven does the finishing for the rougher jobs.

The special composite (plastic) backing design on our Turbo – Trimmable Flap Discs can actually be trimmed to expose unused flaps for extended disc life. The backing will not mark up the workpiece and the multiple layers of our poly-cotton zirconia flaps provide faster cutting action and long disc life, especially when using 36 and 40 coarse grits.
